Why choose Alpha Burly Vinyl for your gym?

For anyone who prefers a brighter space with a wood look, choosing rubber flooring has always involved a compromise: sacrifice the protection of the space to achieve that appearance, or choose a rubber tile in a colour that was not the first aesthetic choice.

Alpha Burly Vinyl removes that compromise. It keeps the rubber base designed to absorb impact and adds a wood-effect vinyl surface, so the strength area no longer looks like a separate element within the overall design.

The look of wood without losing the function of gym flooring

In a gym where the reception, corridors and studios follow the same visual identity, a strength area finished in black rubber can break that continuity.

The Light Oak finish of Alpha Burly Vinyl carries the same visual language into the training areas. High-resolution printing reproduces the grain and texture of timber, while the edges are finished so the rubber base is not visually exposed at the joints.

Protects the floor and equipment while making training more comfortable

Beneath the vinyl layer is a base of recycled SBR rubber granules bonded with polyurethane. This is the layer that allows the flooring to absorb some of the impact generated during training.

In practice, it protects the floor and equipment and reduces the transmission of noise and vibration to the rest of the building. It also makes training more comfortable where the joints are exposed to repeated impact.

It is particularly relevant in areas with heavy equipment, strength training or intensive use, where protection matters as much as the finish.

A surface that is easier to maintain day to day

The smooth vinyl surface is easier to clean than a rubber tile with exposed granules. It has fewer irregularities where dust and dirt can collect, making daily maintenance easier in a heavily used space.

This is an important advantage in gyms where the space needs to look well maintained throughout the day, especially in training areas visible from reception, corridors or social areas.

Built to last in an intensively used space

The rubber base provides high impact resistance and does not break down into granules during use.

The top layer does, however, behave like a vinyl surface: it can scratch or become marked under aggressive use.

Installation and maintenance of Rubber Tile with Vinyl Finish Alpha Burly Vinyl

The subfloor must be dry, clean and level. Measure the space and plan the installation to avoid small offcuts. Leave the material unpacked for 24 hours, laid flat in the area where it will be installed. If there is underfloor heating, switch it off before installation and do not switch it back on afterwards

Yes. Leave a 10 mm gap between the flooring and walls, columns or other fixed elements.

Yes. Indoors, the tiles can be loose-laid. Fit them tightly against each other and, for a more uniform finish, install them in a staggered pattern.

When you want a more permanent installation and need to reduce contraction, expansion or possible tile movement. Full bonding requires more preparation and means the flooring can no longer be easily reused.

Use a utility knife, square, tape measure, pencil and chalk. Make the cuts only after confirming the measurements. Cut edges that do not finish against a wall should be protected with a profile to prevent the finish from peeling away.

Make all cuts first. Prepare small quantities of two-part adhesive, following the ratio specified for the adhesive used. Spread it gradually with a notched trowel and lay the tiles. The reference consumption is approximately 1 kg of adhesive per m².

No. Alpha Burly Vinyl is not resistant to UV radiation or weather exposure. It is an indoor-only flooring solution.

These products can damage the flooring. If cleaned immediately, the vinyl layer may prevent a permanent stain, but repeated contact is not recommended. This is not the right flooring for workshops, garages or areas where fuels are handled frequently.
