Why choose a COB LED strip for your gym?

A well-lit gym gets noticed without anyone knowing why. The difference is rarely the ceiling light alone; it is also the indirect lighting that runs along a counter, up a cove or frames the reception. That kind of light is what makes a space look considered, and it is what the COB LED strip is for.

Light without seeing where it comes from

Older LED strips show a row of dots, and around a counter edge or in a cove that ruins the effect. The COB has a continuous chip from end to end, so the light comes out as one whole line. Hidden in a channel or behind a step, it lights the area without anyone seeing the source.

Fits without work

The strip is self-adhesive: clean and degrease the surface, apply the strip and trim the length only at the marked cutting points. Power supply and connections should follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

3000K or RGB, which one?

The 3000K version gives fixed warm white light, the kind that warms up a reception or a lounge area. It is the choice when you want atmosphere and you do not want to keep adjusting it.

The RGB version changes colour by remote. It suits anyone who wants to play with brand identity, mark a class with a colour or shift the mood by time of day. More flexibility, at the cost of one more controller to manage.

COB LED strip or Neon LED strip?

What decides it is where you are installing and whether the light is meant to be hidden or seen.

In short: choose the COB LED strip for indirect lighting with the source hidden, in dry interiors. Choose the Neon LED strip when you want a visible line of light and need higher protection against moisture, depending on the version and the installation.

Installation and maintenance of COB LED Strip

Clean and degrease the surface, which needs to be dry and smooth. Measure the area, test the strip powered up before sticking it down, and only then apply it. If the adhesion needs backing up, use double-sided tape.

Yes, only at the marked cutting points. Cutting anywhere else damages the circuit.

On gentle curves yes. Do not bend it at a sharp angle or crease it, as this breaks the circuit. For sharp corners, cut and use a connector.

No. The COB is IP20, for dry interiors. For changing rooms, showers or outdoors, use the Neon LED strip.

No. The power supply must sit in a dry, ventilated spot and never be covered while in use.

Disconnect from the mains, clean with a soft dry cloth, and avoid abrasive products or solvents.

No periodic maintenance needed. Check now and then that the connections are still properly insulated.
