Why choose a stone effect panel for your gym?
Reception is one of the most photographed and closely observed areas of a gym. When the main wall is empty, the desk and logo lose impact.
A stone effect panel creates a recognisable background and visually separates this area from the rest of the space. It can also be used in the lounge, at the entrance or on a wall that regularly appears in photographs and videos.
Give reception more presence
The reception desk usually carries the gym’s visual identity. It is where the logo, lighting and the first elements seen by a prospective member come together.
Installing the panel on this wall creates a more considered background and prevents the logo from getting lost on a plain surface.
Create a feature wall
The panel does not need to be installed throughout the gym. It can cover a single wall or a defined area.
This works well when you need to highlight a specific point without changing the gym’s entire interior.
Match the existing gym design
White works well with dark logos, cool lighting and spaces where maintaining brightness is important.
Taupe works with black, grey, wood, cork and other materials commonly used in gyms and CrossFit boxes. The choice depends on the brand colours and the existing interior.
How many boxes do I need for my wall?
Each box covers a total area of 2.88 m².
To calculate the quantity, multiply the width of the wall by its height. Divide the total area by 2.88, then round the result up to the next whole number.
| Wall width × wall height = total area |
| Total area ÷ 2.88 = number of boxes |
For example, a wall that is 3 metres wide and 2.4 metres high has an area of 7.2 m². Three boxes are required in this case.
Allow a small margin for cuts, corners, sockets and other installation losses.
Send us the wall measurements and we will calculate the quantity required for the project.
PU stone effect panel or natural stone?
Natural stone has weight, individual variations and a finish that a polyurethane panel cannot fully reproduce.
It also requires more wall preparation, specialist labour and load-bearing capacity. Depending on the project, additional work may be needed before installation.
A PU panel is a lighter and simpler alternative. It can be bonded to the wall and cut to fit the available space.
It is suitable when the aim is to create a stone effect wall without proceeding with a natural stone installation.
